Jayden from the Otago rugby team came to Wakari School and only three other schools. Jordan came with the Ranfurly Shield to show Wakari School. It has been 56 years since Otago has held the shield. They face their first challenge on Sunday. Go Otaaaaaago!!!

On Wednesday Wakari blue played hockey against Warrington we lost 3-4 and Saoirse got player of the day because she did good in defence and good on the wing
Today we did P.E with Mr Heron in the hall. We played a game called Millie, Molly, Moe and Joe. We also played a game called the passing game. How we played the passing game was we had to pass one tennis ball around the whole group, before the other group did.
Last night I got player of the Day at mini ball we won 32-6 I also got 4 shots in so I get $4 I think I played an outstanding game it was our best game of the season Sam got 7 shots in

Vaughan and Sam played rugby on Saturday they played southern and they lost 110-0 Vaughan got player of the for good defence and good attacking he played an outstanding game to get player of the day well done Vaughan!!!!
Today is Thursday and three people called Adam,Sarah and Josh came and performed the play The Big Sad Wolf with a twist they called The Big Sad Wolf. Tayla's favourite part was the end when they did Gangnam style.Emily's favourite part was how they changed the fairy tales to different ones. My favourite part was all of it.
Today is Wednesday and k.v.c.school came here and performed for us.They did about five songs they did one thing by 1D,it's always a good time by Carly ray jepson
Today is Wednesday. Room 2 have come to the Hall to have a game of bowls. We had to keep the yellow lines on the bowls on the outside and the white circle into the middle. Bowls go certain ways because of the weight inside them.
This year when Mr Bonney works in Room 2 we are going to be creating a movie. It sounds VERY COOL! We used the website called Rotten Tomatoes to review our favourite movies.
Last night, Ben and I went to cricket prize giving. I got most improved player and Ben got a medal for being a Dunedin rep for year 5/6 and most valuable player.
Today we went to the hall for the Hiwi The Kiwi show. Ministrel lives in a caravan and travels around NZ. He is here to tell us how to fish for the future.
In Room 2 we are lucky to have Amber to work with. Each week we have three people that help Amber out with stuff in the classroom. It is quite fun. Some of the things we have to do are reading stories, pushing Amber around and playing some music with her.
Rooms 2 and 4 have been learning about the ukulele in their buddy time. Look out for the end result in an assembly item before the end of the term-hopefully!!
On Valentines day I brought in a jellyfish, no, not a real one but a science experiment my brother Michael did. I really like the fact that it glows green in the dark, and that it's so small. When I told Mrs Brown that I was bringing in a jellyfish, she thought it was a real one!
While the 6s have been getting ready for camp the Year 5s have been working on 'island' activities. Some of the activities were our boat sank and we had to throw 20 unimportant things off the boat. Ben Black got a Japanese student yesterday. Her name is Kanako. She gave him some gifts from Japan. He got a fan and a tea towel. On the fan there is a picture of a mountain that mountain is called Mount Fuji. Kanakos mum made the tea towel it has lots of detail. There are a variety of colours.
