Kids for kids

Kids for kids is something we do each year. It is raising money for kids all around the world who don't get water and food like we do so by singing in a big choir with Suzanne Prentice. It helps to raise money for them. Two kids from every choir get to have a chance to get a solo part in the concert but not all of them actually sing on the night. All of the schools have to learn 18 songs on the night.

Term 2 topic

This term our topic is about Antarctica. The whole school will be doing the same topic. We are looking forward to learning about animals and wildlife that live in Antarctica.

Antarctica-The BIG Ice

Today we had a special visitor at school from Antarctica. This term Wakari School are going to be learning about Antarctica.
If you have any books, resources etc at home that you are happy to lend to us during this unit then please send them along.

Dom's stick insect

This morning I found a stick insect on my wheelie bin. It's about
3cm long and on the way to school it was dancing to the music in the car,I don't have a name for name for it.

Sanding flower presses

Room 2 has been making flower presses. First thing we had to do was think of a design, then we had to was put the design onto our mdf. Third thing we had to do was sand the mdf off so it would be smooth.

Easter basket making

Today at buddy reading we made Easter baskets for the yearly Easter bunny hunt. At the easter bunny hunt (the last day of term one) the buddy reading classes group up in pairs and find clues which lead to the Easter bunny tree on the top field. You don't normally get your own basket.
