Paper mache

Room 2 have been making paper maiche using glue and lots of paper!

We have to do a few layers of paper and glue we have to make a mountain, valley and shore line. First you draw the out line of your ice, shore line, mountain and valley then you can start putting on the glue and paper. After you have put on a couple of layers and the mountain on, wait for it to dry. Then you can start to paint it and we are going to make some wildlife creatures to go on our paper mâché.

Dom's Vortex

Yesterday at cubs we made Vortex's. When you tip it upside down without shaking it no water comes through the vortex (the blue bit in the middle) because the air pressure in the bottom is holding it up but when you shake it, it allows the air to get up and water to get down creating a vortex.
