Week 4 certificate winners

We have been pretty lucky with the weather so far this winter but teachers really appreciate on the wet days when people make great decisions about appropriate behaviour inside the classrooms.
A big well done to Briana and Lauren who have been great role models during the wet days.

Flower press unveiling!

Today we got to open our flower presses to see how the petals were looking. Sam liked the cool colours on the petals. Jack liked the different sizes of petals he had pressed. Lauren enjoyed seeing what the different flowers looked like when they were dried out. Ashley is looking forward to the challenge of designing her dress.

Room 2 rocks the school cross country!

Wow- what a way to make a teacher proud! Awesome effort from everyone on Tuesday at the school cross country. A huge well done to everyone who was here on the day and tried their best! The Hills Cluster is around the 21st August, so keep up with the training if you got in the top 12 places.

Room 2 ukulele

It has been fun learning to play some new songs for ukulele. It has been great to see so many people practicing in their own time as well. A pretty neat way to spend half an hour every Monday. Come and watch us perform this Friday at school assembly.

Handwriting stars

Today we did some handwriting and Mrs Brown picked Dom's Ben M's and Samaras handwriting. Dom's goal was to work on his linking and he completed his goal, Ben's goal was his slope he had done his slope evenly across the page. Mrs Brown picked Samaras handwriting because she thinks my handwriting is neat and fabulous.

The Oscar award

On the last day of term Ben M received the Oscar award for picking up a five dollar note when it was blowing on the ramp. This is a good example of being honest. The Oscar award is for people who display honestly, respect, co-operation, kindness and manners.

Hockey

On Sunday Joey tried out for the Otago hockey development team for under 13's.
On Tuesday night he found out that he got in.
Well done Joey for getting in.
