We had a special visitor at Assembly today. Jimmy J Dog is encouraging everyone to try and save a little bit of money each week. Anyone who banks some money six times a term will win a movie tickets. Forms are available from the school office.

At the moment we are hot pokering our flower presses. The safe things that you need to remember are that you are not to hold it to close to the hot bit because that can burn your skin and not to put your face too close to the wood. You also need to concentrate on the job! The hot part is at the end of the wood.

On Sunday Jaymie found two weta. One is called Spikey and the other is called Bouncey. Spikey has a big spike on its backside and Bouncey likes to jump around in the container.The biggest is Bouncey and its about 9cm long.

In room 2 for sketching we are doing the human face. This my sketch of a face. Last week we did a sketch of an eye,today we did a sketch of the human nose. We have been using videos of the computer to do it. We haven't practiced the lips yet. We did lips because on the nose video it showed us how to do the lips. Room2 has been doing sports activator with Ginni. Last time we did rallies with rackets and balls. It was fun and exciting-and hard at times. We played a cool game where we had to keep the rally going as a team. The highest score was 8. Reporters Saoirse and Ashley

In this picture you will see the year 6s making a flower out of Kayaks. First we joined all together by grabbing the ropes on the kayaks then Mr Caldwell pushed us all together. Ms Blackwood took the photo of us. It was much harder than it looked!

Today Room 2 had to clamber their way over the equipment on the playground.
Most people managed well, however those without the right footwear found it hard to keep their grip and move quickly.
Remember to either wear or bring appropriate footwear to school EVERYDAY!
